LAY DOWN SALLY - ERIC CLAPTON

Beginner’s Course Grade 1, Module 2

This is a simplified version of Eric Clapton’s Lay Down Sally, but one that can be easily expanded on as your skills increase.

It’s played in the open position using four chords, A, A7, D and E. We do not actually play an A7 chord in module 2, but it’s really easy and is just a case of removing the finger you use to play the G string second fret. It’s that easy! But do make sure that neither of your remaining fingers are touching the B or D strings.
